- Description: The Six in the Stix Trail Run showcases everything that makes New Hampshire trail running great. Starting and finishing at Newport High School, runners will enjoy either a 3-mile or 6-mile course through the Newport Town Forest featuring classic NH terrain: rocky, rooty, and hilly trails. Proceeds benefit Newport Recreation and the maintenance of the Town Forest trail system.
- Start / Finish Location: Newport High School, 250 North Main Street (i.e. NH Route 10), Newport, NH (track area behind the gray shed).
- Pre-race Announcements: 8:55 am
- Start Time: 9:00 am
- Distance: 6 miles or 3 miles
- Categories (6 mile): M & F - 11 & under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
- Categories (3 mile): M & F - top 3 overall
- Awards: Stetson's Pure NH Maple Syrup awarded to top 3 finishers in each category, plus Overall Male & Female winners. Western New Hampshire Trail Running Series points awarded for 6 mile run according to series rules.
- Course Information: Courses are marked with orange (6-mile) and green (3-mile) arrows designating the routes (see map for details). A volunteer will be stationed at the course split. Water and light refreshments will be available at the finish line. PDF Course Map

- Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the venue but are not permitted on the race course during the event.

Directions

- From North:
- Take Interstate 89 south to exit 13. Follow Rt 10 south into Newport. The High School & Recreation Complex will be on your left just before you get into the center of town.
- From South & East:
- Take Interstate 89 north to Exit 9. Follow Rt103 west into Newport. Make right onto Rt 10 North. The High School & Recreation Complex will be on your right less than a mile from the center of town.
- Alternately take Interstate 89 north to Exit 12. Make left onto Rt 11 and follow that west into Newport. Make right onto Rt 10 north. The High School & Recreation Complex will be on your right less than a mile from the center of town.
- From South & West:
- Take Interstate 91 in Vermont north to Exit 7. Take Rt 11 east through Charlestown & Claremont to Newport. Make left onto Rt 10 north. The High School & Recreation Complex will be on your right less than a mile from the center of town.
